This is a wonderful novel of historical fiction going back and forth between modern day and the 1340s. The protagonist, Julie, is an American twin who finds herself in the midst of a mystery to discover the treasure from the real"Romero and Juliet" who lived in Siena, Italy during the 1340s. In the meantime she is also discovering her long hidden past - who her parents were, and that if she is Juliet, who is Romeo?I mostly enjoyed this story. Although, I think it could have been tightened up a little - especially with the 1340 segments. It had mystery, conflict, intrigue, historical info and a love story. What more could you ask for? Lovers of historical fiction will enjoy this one!
