The last few Stephanie Plum books have had big disappointments for me. The characters are becoming stale. Lulu is eating everything in sight. Stephanie can't make up her mind between Morelli and Ranger. Morelli and Ranger only think about one thing. And oh how both of them have been ruined. Morelli has lost his edge. He is a ship passing in the night for a quick interlude - yet he dates no one else. Ranger's mysteriouso is mostly gone, and his odd attachment to Stephanie remains that. I applaude the author for trying to do different things with the plot lines - it's not always about Stephanie - but these books have just become a stereotype for themselves. Oh how I'm savoring "One for the Money" in the back of my mind as it broke new ground. It's time for Steph to breaks some new ground.I am finishing the series, simply because I have come this far!!!!
