Sometimes you just gotten veer off the beaten trail a bit. This was so not a book I would not usually read, but it was a fun little romance novel. Geirolf is a Viking, caught in a whirlpool through time, he finds himself on the shore of modern day Maine (1997) - 1000 years after his time. He makes his way to the "keep" of Meredith Foster - a professor of Medieval history who is working to complete the building of a Viking boat with her students as a final tribute to her grandfather. While Rolf would be the perfect addition to her staff, the chemistry between them is intense. As Rolf figures out his destiny, he must adapt to the rudiments of the 20th century.Yeah, not much literature here. But it was a fun weekend read and a nice break from my usual routine.
