The 3 Rs: Reading, Reviews & Recs.
Let's chat about books!
Fabry tells a tale of gain and loss. Of love and hate. Of right and wrong. We meet June Bug and her Dad in a walmart parking lot. Their RV has mechanical issues. And June Bug sees her own face on a missing child poster in the store. Although she obviously has a great relationship with her dad, we learn that they have been "on the road" for a while. Now why are they on the run? June Bug's real grandmother has never given up on the little girl coming home. And when they pull the car out of the lake that little Natalie was in when she disappeared, the story becomes a National Headline. How will that effect June Bug and her dad?Fabry introduces us to his characters and endears them to us. We love the relationship between June Bug and her dad, even though we sense that there is something not quite right with their situations. But we love them. We cheer for them. And we want to know the truth.I enjoyed the story. While addressing a serious issue, we still never give up hope. We see good in the bad, and Fabry lets us know that he believes God is in control.Nice quick read for Christian Fiction lovers.
