Part 2 of the Jolie Wilkins series. Yes, Jolie is a witch with powers that everyone wants and two men in her life - Rand the Warlock and Sinjin the Vampire. While she feels incredibly bonded to Rand, other underworld things keep getting in the way. There's an underworld war ready to fight and she wants vengence in the midst of it. While she and Rand continue their tet a tet, Sinjin lurks in the background.This book was better than the first, but equally as frustrating as there has to be a book 3 coming...I like the characters. They are quirky, and more human than monsters. The story is not heavy, nor does it leave you wondering if their are monsters out there. It is a little more racy than I usually like, but I just kind of skim over those parts.Overall, an enjoyable lite read to break up some heavy non-fiction I've been reading. ;)
