Andrew Johnson: America's 17th President (Encyclopedia of Presidents, Second)
I really enjoy using this series with my elementary aged children. It covers all the issues the government faces during the president's term. Sometimes we don't read the entire book, but all the details are there. This book followed the mistakes of Johnson, but also had grace for him - a more middle of the road view.Recommend for: Upper Elementary and Middle School students.
