Shelly's Book Journal

This was a wonderful book. It was full of wonderful language and imagery. While the story was predictable, I found myself rooting for the main character to discover what I already knew must be true, curious also to see how she would react.I love the fact that God is part of this story, but it's not the whole "come to Jesus and be saved thing". It's more, "God is out there and he cares."I highly identified with many of the fears of the main character, and the feelings that she had for totally irrational things. Don't we all face that in our lives, although on lesser levels?While the author used the story of Sleeping Beauty for inspiration (I read that in a review prior to reading), I never thought about it during the story and only remembered it when it's mentioned in the author's end notes.Thanks for a great book Angela!
