I enjoy the characters of this book. I like to read novels about "ordinary" people just living their lives and how they deal with the quirks and kinks that come along the way. The setting of the funeral home makes this story a little odd, but the characters are heart warming. It might be a "chick lit" type of book, but I found that I couldn't put down the novel, even though parts of the storyline were predictable, because I wanted to see how the characters were going to react when the other shoe fell.It was a nice little trilogy, although I've only read 2 and 3 so far. I plan to go back and read the first one.
